Sound Select is one of several buttons accessible in the user interface users interact with so as to alter the appearance or sound of the main piano layout:

Upon clicking the button users may choose from 8 instrumental settings:
I.| Emotional (88 keys) II.| Emotional 2.0 (88 keys) III.| Harp (88 keys) IV.| MPP Classic (88 keys) V.| Music Box (88 keys) VI.| Steinway Grand (88 keys) VII.| Untitled (88 keys) VIII.| Vintage Upright (88 keys)
Each individual note appears to come from a sound font or to have been prerecorded as opposed to a single sound sample being pitch shifted up or down for the sounds. This can be ascertained from the way particular notes have waveforms or artifacts that do not conform to nearby notes, such as the following:

C#3andD3 - The sounding of the notes
E6andF6contains a slight buzzing in the background, possibly a resonance with the note and the recording apparatus used.
II. Emotional 2.0
[edit | edit source]C#3andB4are notes with a perceptible tap in the background, which may just be the sound of the hammer going back down after hitting the string.
