The Lobbies

The lobbies are a set of rooms on Multiplayer Piano that visitors to the site will automatically enter upon visiting the domain, http://www.multiplayerpiano.org/. If the lobby is filled, visitors will be redirected to lobby2. More lobbies can be created if players create a room entitled "lobby-", where - is some string of characters, usually a whole number.

Some key features that distinguish the lobby[s] from ordinary rooms:

• lobby3 It is rare that Lobby3 be created, as it requires both Lobby and Lobby2 to be entirely full to their max player capacity. Notably, Lobby3 was opened after player Ed began a raid of the website through Reddit.

Screenshot gallery

In one of the primary MPP Discord servers there is a channel with the intended purpose of uploading screenshots of whatever lobby is available by the hour. By gathering them into one easily accessible, public place, it is possible to view trends in individual users as well as the nature of the lobbies over time, consequently reflecting on the nature of MPP over time as well.

Dropped screenshots

The bot responsible for screenshotting MPP may miss some times, thereby leading to 23 or fewer screenshots throughout the course of day, whereas if it were perfectly hour-by-hour there'd always be 24 screenshots per day. The following is a table counting dropped screenshots by day, month, and year.
